Children First Professional Development Center Early Childhood Ancillary Certificate Program
Applied Practice Experiences:
- 4 hours per course
- Each course includes job embedded strategies for practicing learned skills
Cost to Candidates:
- Tuition may be paid for by Louisiana Pathways Scholarship for qualifying candidates
- Candidates must remain in good academic standing
- For students paying out of pocket, we accept one payment, or payments in 4 installments. We accept VISA, Mastercard, cash, and check for payments.
Candidates understands and agrees to the following to be successful in the program:
- Face-to-face meetings are scheduled twice a month
- Students are recommended to attend 80% of all scheduled face-to-face meetings to get the full benefit of the program
- Mastery of 80% of coursework through forum post, reflection post, strategy planning forms, and final mastery project.
- 100% completion of applied practice experience.
- Candidate agrees to complete the 8-month program.
Upon completion of program, you will meet all requirements for Ancillary Certificate and we will guide and prepare you for the CDA process and national exam. We encourage your educational degree.

Once you receive your Ancillary Certificate/CDA, you can receive over $1,600.00 each year on your Louisiana tax return, possibly receive more money on your job, get a promotion, become a director of a early learning program or return back to college.
